Natural gas futures settled down 1.1% at $3.168 per mmBtu after the EIA reported 85 billion cubic feet added to natural gas stocks for the week ended Oct. 2, above the 79 bcf expected.
U.S. benchmark crude edged lower after the EIA reported a 3.2 million-barrel withdrawal in commercial crude oil stocks last week. Gasoline inventories rose 382,000 barrels and distillate stocks fell 42,000 barrels.
