US Futures Rise to Records

Futures tracking US equities were firmly higher on Tuesday with support from the heavyweight tech sector, as the surge in bond yields paused and softened pressure on the sector's credit outlook. Contracts for the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq 100 were up around 0.5% at record highs, while those for the Dow added 0.4%. Both AI infrastructure and hyperscaler stocks were firmly up premarket as fresh deals in the sector continued to spur speculative demand for the technology. OpenAI was in talks for a $30 billion round of financing with UAE funds and Alphabet was nearly 1% higher ahead of an agreement to acquire nuclear energy capacity from Constellation Energy, which rose 7%. Meanwhile, AMD jumped 2% as CEO Lisa Su signaled strong chip demand in the coming years. Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, and CrowdStrike also jumped around 2%.
