AT&T forms US wholesale fiber JV with BlackRock's GIP, CPP Investments
AT&T agreed to form a U.S. wholesale fiber open-access joint venture with Global Infrastructure Partners, a BlackRock unit, and CPP Investments. The venture will combine Forged Fiber 37, built from assets acquired from Lumen, with Gigapower, its existing wholesale fiber JV with GIP. Ownership split is set at 50% for AT&T; GIP and CPP Investments to hold the remaining 50% collectively. Transaction expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory approvals.
