Cosmo Energy, Iwatani invest JPY 50 billion in Chiba hydrogen refinery project

Cosmo Energy Holdings and Iwatani have made a final investment decision on a hydrogen project at Cosmo Oil’s Chiba refinery in Ichihara, Japan. The project involves restoring an idle hydrogen unit with a capacity of 80 tons/day and building a liquefied hydrogen plant with a capacity of 11 tons/day. The targeted start-up for both is 2030, with a total investment of approximately JPY 50 billion.
