US Midwest gasoline differentials surge on strong demand

NEW YORK, Oct 5 (Reuters) — Cash differentials for gasoline rose on Monday in the US Midwest's Group 3 spot market on heavy buying, traders said. Group 3 V-grade gasoline gained 13 cents, trading 26 cents higher than the gasoline futures benchmark on the New York Mercantile Exchange, market participants said. 75 cents higher than the ultra-low sulfur diesel benchmark on the NYMEX. Chicago ultra-low sulfur diesel fell 20 cents, trading 30 cents per gallon below diesel futures.
