York Space Systems unit ATLAS Space Operations activates new Rwanda ground-station antenna
ATLAS Space Operations, a York Space Systems subsidiary, activated a 3.7-meter receive-only antenna at Mwulire, Rwanda on Sept. 18, 2026, doubling simultaneous satellite contacts at the equatorial site to two and supporting S-band downlinks from 2200-2300 MHz.

The new antenna at Mwulire, Rwanda, entered service on Sept. 18, 2026 and doubles the number of satellite contacts the site can support at one time. ATLAS said the antenna expands equatorial coverage across its global antenna network.
