US lawmakers urge regulators to reject BlackRock-led $33.4 billion AES deal
A bipartisan group of US lawmakers including Sen. Elizabeth Warren asked federal energy regulators to reject the sale of AES, saying it may raise electricity costs. The deal, valued at about $33.4 billion including debt, has already won AES shareholder approval and Ohio regulatory approval for AES Ohio.
