UPI MDR rollout could be deferred beyond October 15
Sources say a decision is expected soon on whether the merchant discount rate (MDR) rollout for certain UPI transactions starting Oct. 15 is deferred by a few months, with requests to push it to Jan. 2027 under consideration.
