U.S. Census Bureau report: 65+ population overtakes under-5s globally
A U.S. Census Bureau report says people age 65+ now outnumber children age 5 and younger worldwide for the first time. It projects 65+ rising from 852 million in 2025 to 2 billion by 2060.
