U.S. 30-year fixed mortgage rate tops 7% at 7.07%
The benchmark 30-year fixed mortgage rate rose to 7.07% on Thursday, topping 7% for the first time in more than a year, per Mortgage News Daily’s daily calculation. It had dropped below 7% in May 2025.
