Fitch says U.S. BSL CLO defaults were driven by distressed exchanges

Fitch Ratings said distressed debt exchanges made up 79% of observed defaults in its U.S. broadly syndicated loan CLO portfolios year to date. It recorded 16 defaults in U.S. BSL CLOs in the third quarter, down from 20 in the second quarter and unchanged from a year earlier.
