TSX Composite rises near 1% as miners rally
The S&P/TSX Composite Index rose nearly 1% to trade above 36,000, boosted by miners as gold climbed. Agnico Eagle gained nearly 3%, Barrick over 2%, WPM added 2.5%, alongside broad tech and banking strength.
