Stocks open higher as Waller says rates could stay put
Wall Street opened higher Thursday after Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller said he is open to leaving interest rates unchanged this month if data confirms cooling inflation pressures. Dow rose 247.2 points, or 0.47%, at the open.
