SpaceX agreed to acquire Grain Management's nationwide 800 MHz spectrum portfolio, a move that could strengthen Starlink Mobile's push toward a U.S. wireless carrier role. The deal still needs FCC approval and other closing conditions, and financial terms were not disclosed.
SpaceX plans to buy up to 14 MHz of spectrum from Grain Management, subject to regulatory approval, to support Starlink Mobile. The report said the move drew premarket declines for Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile US, and AST SpaceMobile.
