The U.S. Personal Consumption Expenditures price index rose 3.7% year over year in July versus economist forecasts of 3.6%, while the monthly measure increased 0.2% and core PCE was unchanged at 3.3%.
The US S&P Global composite PMI climbed to 56 in August from 54.5 in the previous month, marking the strongest growth since April 2022.
