Rupiah slides toward IDR 17,780 as dollar strengthens
Indonesian rupiah slipped toward IDR 17,780 per U.S. dollar for a second session, as the dollar index rose to a near three-week high. Inflation picked up in August, and a narrower trade surplus offered some support.
