Rocket Lab releases germanium-free IMM Apex solar cell for space
Rocket Lab announced production release of Inverted Metamorphic (IMM) Apex, a next-generation space solar cell. The company cites 31.5% solar conversion efficiency, 40% less weight, and no germanium requirement to ease supply constraints.
