Raw sugar futures on ICE edged higher on Wednesday, helped partly by tight supplies in top consumer India. SB1 rose 0.3% to 18.16 cents per lb at 1403 GMT; arabica coffee also climbed sharply.
ICE raw sugar futures hit a fresh 16-month high amid concerns about Indian supply and the Brazilian harvest. Arabica coffee sank to a five-week low; SB1 settled up 1.9% at 18.70 cents/lb.
