Raw sugar futures on ICE fell on Wednesday, with the expiry of the October contract providing a short-term focus. Arabica coffee prices edged higher. Raw sugar settled down 0.19 cent, or 1.1%, at 17.63 cents per lb., with dealers citing ample supplies.
Raw sugar futures on ICE were lower; white sugar fell to $504.90 a ton and arabica coffee edged up to $2.9120 per lb.
Arabica coffee futures on ICE rose 2.4% to $2.9640/lb. Dealers also cited technical buying after a steep decline.
