US stock futures slip ahead of inflation report

The Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite all finished lower as 10-year Treasury yields hit their highest since June 2007 and 30-year yields since June 2002. The Conference Board said US consumer confidence plunged to a nearly 12-1/2-year low in September, while CarMax rose and Fair Isaac fell 26.5%.
The S&P 500, Nasdaq and Dow all finished lower as the 10-year Treasury yield rose to 5.293%, its highest since June 2007. JOLTS job openings fell and consumer confidence dropped to a nearly 12-1/2-year low.
The Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq all declined as longer-dated US Treasury yields rose, with the 30-year yield at its highest since June 2002 and the 10-year near its highest since June 2007. Consumer confidence also fell to a nearly 12-1/2-year low, while job openings dropped in August.
KOSPI closed down 0.27% at 6,870.81; foreigners net sold 2.9 trillion won and the won strengthened. Three-year and 10-year yields fell.
The company reported results for the period ended 31 May 2026 and said CEO Jerry Randall intends to retire from the role. It also highlighted revenue growth, a share buyback programme and recent disposals and acquisitions.
