Perpetual shares set for worst day in over six years after rejecting EQT bid
Shares of Perpetual fell 14% to A$16.86, heading for their largest daily loss since March 2020. The asset manager rejected another takeover offer from EQT AB at A$22.5 per share, a 14.8% premium over the stock's last close. This latest offer is higher than previous bids of A$21.64 on July 1 and A$22.07 in mid-July.
