Paychex: U.S. small business jobs index at 99.15 in September
Paychex’s September 29, 2026 Small Business Employment Watch said the U.S. small business jobs index rose 0.02 points to 99.15 in September, near the 2026 average of 99.19; hourly earnings growth was 2.78% and weekly earnings growth stayed positive.
