OpenAI Says AI Traced Hidden Recording Device to Employee, FBI Arrested Suspect
OpenAI said it used its models to trace a recording device hidden in one of its offices to an employee. The company referred the matter to the FBI, and agents arrested the employee; OpenAI said it found no indication that model weights, source code or customer data were accessed or taken.
