Mercer Rosenthal resumes wastewater discharge into Saale
Mercer International resumed wastewater discharge at its Rosenthal mill after a report of discoloration near the effluent outfall on Oct. 1, which had prompted wastewater storage in on-site buffer tanks and a temporary swimming ban in the southern area of the Bleiloch reservoir. Discharge resumed gradually on Oct. 3.
