Japanese shares close higher as Nikkei 225 gains 0.2%
Japan’s Nikkei 225 and Topix each rose 0.2% on Thursday, closing at 65,271 and 4,055, respectively, reversing earlier declines and ending a two-session losing streak. The rebound came as momentum in oil prices and global bond yields eased, though the Bank of Japan is still widely expected to tighten next week.
