Indonesian nickel smelters group says new ore price formula lowers low-grade price
A group representing Indonesian nickel smelters welcomed a new benchmark price formula, saying it will reduce the price of low-grade nickel ore used in EV-battery manufacturing and provide operational certainty. The Energy Ministry lowered its “corrective factor” used in the formula.
