India stocks gain 0.95%, rupee drops 0.1% at close
The benchmark BSE Sensex was up 0.95% at 73,067.81, while the broader NSE Nifty 50 index advanced 0.98% to 22,776.10. The Indian rupee dropped 0.1% to 96.4200 versus the US dollar. The benchmark 10-year bond yield was down nearly 2 basis points at 7.1928%.
