India stocks, rupee edge up; bonds steady at midday
Indian shares edged higher on Friday, with the benchmark BSE Sensex up 0.17% at 74,821 and the broader NSE Nifty 50 rising 0.28% to 23,411. The rupee gained 0.05% to 95.8225 per dollar. The benchmark 10-year bond yield was slightly lower at 7.0606%.
