Illinois Says Medical Debt Program Erased $1.4 Billion for Nearly 700,000 Residents
Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker said the state’s medical debt relief program has erased more than $1.4 billion for nearly 700,000 residents since its launch two years ago. The program exceeded its original $1 billion target, the state said.
