IMF Official Says BOJ May Need Faster Rate Hikes if Inflation Exceeds Forecast
A senior IMF official said the BOJ is normalising policy and may need to raise rates faster if inflation rises more than expected. The official also said Japan must clarify how it plans to fund its spending plan.
