Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE selected Honeywell Technologies (HON.O) to provide technologies, engineering services and equipment for a planned 700,000 barrel-per-day refinery in Kenya. The companies said the project could become the world's largest single-train refinery and cost about $300 million.
Honeywell said it will provide engineering services, licensing and equipment for Aliko Dangote’s planned 700,000-bpd refinery in Kenya’s Lamu county, a $16 billion project broken ground by Dangote and President William Ruto; the refinery is expected to supply diesel, petrol and jet fuel and export across the region.
