Hippo report: 22% of homeowners still carry debt from weather damage repairs
Hippo Holdings' 2026 Extreme Weather Report found that nearly 60% of surveyed U.S. homeowners reported weather damage in the last three years, with 50% paying out of pocket. Of those, 22% still carry repair-related debt, and 71% of that group has held it for at least two years.
