Hawkish BOJ expectations and portfolio shifts lift yen, market talk
Yen rose as overseas investors priced in a more hawkish BOJ and real-money investors adjusted portfolios at the start of the month, a State Street strategist said. The yen hit strongest intraday levels since Aug. 3.
