Spot gold rose 2.3% to $4,360.36 per ounce by 1:45 p.m., helped by a weaker US dollar and easing oil prices.
Spot gold rose 1.3% to $4,347.91/oz by 1208 GMT as the dollar weakened and oil prices slipped; investors awaited the Fed’s upcoming interest-rate decision.
