Fed survey shows richer older, affluent U.S. households
The Federal Reserve's Survey of Consumer Finances found median family net worth rose 2% from 2022 to 2025 to about $216,000. Wealth gains were concentrated among older and higher-income households, while families were more likely to be behind on loan payments.
