Fed district surveys show modest growth, mixed consumer and auto trends
Federal Reserve districts reported modest overall economic growth since early July. Ten of the twelve showed slight-to-moderate gains; consumer spending was slightly higher, autos mostly subdued, while tourism increased and airlines reported strong demand.
