European stocks down, euro hits 16-month low vs pound, French bonds sell off
European shares fell in early trading, part of a broad cross-asset selloff. The euro dropped to its lowest level in 16 months against the pound, and French 10-year yields rose 10 basis points. The STOXX 600 was down 0.3% and the Euro STOXX 50 index down 0.8%.
