Duke Energy asks Carolinas customers to cut power use 2–8 p.m.
Duke Energy said unusually hot September weather is driving high demand and is asking customers in North Carolina and South Carolina to voluntarily reduce electricity use during the 2–8 p.m. peak-demand period today, Sept. 18.
