A Financial Times report said Starbucks has worked with advisers in recent months on a possible takeover proposal for Chipotle Mexican Grill. Chipotle shares jumped and Starbucks fell after the report.

Chipotle shares rise on Starbucks takeover proposal report
Chipotle shares jumped 6.2% to $32.71 after a Financial Times report said Starbucks had looked into a possible takeover of Chipotle. Starbucks stock fell 3.6% to $90.21.
