China central bank adds to gold reserves for 23rd month
China's central bank increased gold purchases in September, marking the 23rd consecutive month of accumulation. Holdings rose to 77.47 million fine troy ounces from 76.73 million in August, despite a fall in the value of reserves to $323.52 billion due to a 6% drop in gold prices.
