Chevron deepens Empire Terminal berth, targets 522,000 barrels a month of added throughput
Chevron completed a project to deepen the Empire Terminal crude-loading berth to 53 feet from 50 feet. The change aligns berth depth with the Mississippi River Southwest Pass route, reducing draft limits for large tankers. Expected to unlock an additional 522,000 barrels per month of crude throughput from the terminal.
