Bank of England sees rising risk from AI debt and conflict
The BoE said interconnected vulnerabilities in the financial system have risen, citing re-escalation of conflict and increased AI-related debt issuance. It kept the countercyclical capital buffer at 2% and said more detailed proposals on leverage and gilt repo reforms will come in early 2027.
