Backblaze publishes Q2 2026 drive stats; quarterly AFR rises to 1.73%
Backblaze said its Q2 2026 annualized failure rate rose to 1.73% from 1.24% in Q1 2026. The report also said two long-serving drive models were fully retired and 20TB+ drives now make up more than a quarter of the fleet.
