Australian dollar touches fresh mid-May highs at 72.38 U.S. cents
The Australian dollar briefly reached 72.38 U.S. cents in recent hours, its highest level since mid-May. CBA FX strategist Carol Kong linked the move to expectations of additional RBA tightening and a weaker U.S. dollar.
