August U.S. jobs report shows stronger restaurant hiring
The U.S. added 162,000 jobs in August versus 56,000 expected, with unemployment at 4.1%. Food services and drinking places contributed 59,000 jobs, well above their 12,000 average monthly gain over the prior year.
