Asian Refiners Turn to Smaller Tankers as Freight Rates Soar
Asian refiners are using smaller tankers and long-term-chartered vessels, and buying Middle East crude on a delivered basis to cut feedstock costs as tanker freight rates hover near records, company officials said.
