Peru copper output ticks down in August

LIMA, Oct 16 (Reuters) — Copper output in Peru, the world's third-largest producer of the red metal, fell 5% year-over-year in August to 230,676 metric tons, the energy and mines ministry said on Friday. In the January-to-August period, domestic copper production rose 1.2% year-on-year to 1.8 million tons, the ministry added.
