India Plans Overhaul of Drug Patent Guidelines to Curb Evergreening

India plans to revise drug patent rules to curb extensions of market monopolies through minor modifications and speed access to cheaper generics. Draft guidelines were issued by the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks.
