The new Legacy+™ Income Benefit builds on the history of RILA innovation at Allianz Life to help meet the increasing desire of Americans to leave a financial legacy and address the concern that spending in retirement will reduce or eliminate the amount left to loved ones. Leaving a legacy has become increasingly important to Americans over the last five years, according to the 2026 Annual Retirement Study from the Allianz Center for the Future of Retirement(®). The majority of Americans (56%) would rather leave a lot of money as legacy for their family or causes they care about than spend down their entire retirement on themselves.

This is up 18 percentage points from five years ago, when just 38% prioritized legacy. The protected Legacy Value for beneficiaries is locked in at 50% of the accumulated contract value when income payments start and will not change regardless of how long the retiree receives income payments(1). The guaranteed Legacy Value can be accessed earlier if circumstances change(2). “Too many retirees may sacrifice their enjoyment of retirement and underspend to ensure that they have money to pass on to their loved ones as a legacy,” says Corey Walther, president of Allianz Life Financial Services, LLC.

” The Legacy+™ Income Benefit(3) is now available on two Allianz Life RILAs, Index Advantage+ Select Income(®) Annuity and Income Advantage ADV(®) Annuity. Allianz Center for the Future of Retirement(®) conducted the 2026 Annual Retirement Study in January 2026 with a nationally representative sample of 1,000 respondents age 25+ with an annual household income of $50K+/$75K+ (single/married) OR investable assets of $150K+. (1 )The Legacy Value is reduced for any Excess Withdrawals or Legacy Withdrawals taken. Such withdrawals reduce income payments, perhaps significantly, and result in termination of the benefit and your contract.

(2 )A full Legacy Withdrawal would result in the contract ending, and termination of future lifetime income payments. (3) The Legacy+™ Benefit is only included with the Legacy+™ Income Benefit, an optional rider selected at contract issue, and representing a different income benefit option than selection of the Income Benefit rider. 70% income benefit rider fee. 55%, which are deducted annually from the contract.

Please note there are other applicable contract charges.
