Oil futures slip below $90 as energy stocks fall
U.S. crude futures closed below $90/barrel as energy shares declined alongside oil.
Shares of energy companies fell alongside oil futures. S. crude futures closed below the psychologically significant $90-per-barrel level as traders tried to get their arms around the run rate of Middle East exports. British oil major Shell expects to report that its refining margin hit a record high in the third quarter, as attacks on shipping in the Middle East restrict global fuel supplies.
